Chervichenko: Pjanics Arrival and Departure from CSKA — A Passing Breeze

The former president of Spartak, **Andrey Chervichenko**, commented on the departure of midfielder **Miralem Pjanic** from CSKA.

«Regarding Pjanic’s exit from CSKA, names in football do not play, nor do they coach. We’ve seen Pjanic. Are you claiming he’s the best player? You can’t argue that he was the standout player even in a single match. Sure, he didn’t ruin the game, but I can’t say he significantly enhanced CSKA’s performance. As for names, Stankovic had a name too—just the name of a player. Everyone fell for that and appointed him as Spartak’s coach. The results speak for themselves.

There’s nothing alarming about Pjanic’s departure. In fact, I find the development of Kisyliak, Abdulkadirov, and Glebov to be much more important and interesting than Pjanic. The arrival and exit of Miralem are merely a breeze that has whistled by,» Chervichenko stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.

Pjanic joined CSKA in the fall of 2024, where he played 25 matches across all competitions and registered three assists.
