Russia Denounces U.S. Bombing of Irans Nuclear Sites as a Threat to Global Security

On Sunday, Russia declared that it «strongly condemned» the bombings of nuclear facilities in Iran carried out by the United States, labeling the strikes as «irresponsible» and a «serious breach of international law.»

The Russian Foreign Ministry remarked in a statement, «It is already apparent that a perilous escalation has commenced, endangering both regional and global security.»

The U.S. launched strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran on Sunday, aligning itself with Israel’s bombing efforts following days of speculation regarding American involvement in the conflict.

Following the attacks, President Donald Trump asserted in a speech, «Iran’s primary nuclear enrichment sites have been completely and utterly destroyed. The Middle East’s bully, Iran, must now seek peace.»

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denounced the U.S. actions as «outrageous,» affirming that his nation has the right to protect its sovereignty.

He expressed on social media, «The events this morning are shocking and will have lasting repercussions,» describing the attacks as «lawless and criminal» acts.

Araghchi further stated that the United States and Israel have crossed «a significant red line» with their actions, and announced his intention to travel to Moscow later on Sunday for discussions with President Vladimir Putin.
