As reported by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 30-year-old Italian had an operation to address groin pain syndrome. The procedure was successful and is part of a pre-planned recovery program. The player is expected to be fit for participation in the summer training camp.

«I’ve already been discharged and I’m back at home! Thank you all for your support. This was an issue I had been dealing with for some time; I played the last three months of the season with significant pain. Rest and therapy were ineffective, so I decided to go ahead with the surgery to be ready for the new season,» Zaccagni shared on social media.

In the previous season, Zaccagni participated in 46 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.
