New Microsoft Teams Dashboard Empowers Admins to Proactively Monitor Client Health

Microsoft is addressing the challenge of monitoring and troubleshooting Teams with the introduction of a new dashboard called «Teams Client Health» designed for administrators.

Whenever there are issues with a Teams instance, this dashboard enables administrators and support teams to perform proactive diagnostics and resolve problems without having to wait for user feedback.

According to Microsoft, the Teams Client Health feature focuses on identifying problems that genuinely require administrative intervention as well as detecting recurring failures. The company provided several scenarios illustrating how the dashboard can enhance performance while minimizing disruption to workflows.

One such scenario involves assisting clients who are experiencing Teams-related failures. Rather than manually replicating the issue, an administrator can utilize the dashboard to pinpoint problematic areas and resolve them independently using the provided guidance.

Another scenario involves monitoring and verifying whether employees within the organization are utilizing the latest version of Teams. Currently, this is primarily a manual task, but with the dashboard, administrators will receive this information directly, including insights into potential issues that may hinder Teams updates.

The Teams Client Health dashboard is accessible to administrators and support teams within the Teams Admin Center. Microsoft has encouraged clients to bookmark a direct link to it for easier navigation.

In May, Microsoft began testing a feature in Teams that restricts users from taking screenshots of confidential information during meetings. Participants joining from unsupported platforms will be automatically switched to audio-only mode to protect the content.
