CSKA Moscow Welcomes Fabio Celestini: New Coach Signs Two-Year Contract

CSKA Moscow announced on its Telegram channel the appointment of **[Fabio Celestini](#)** as the new head coach of the team. The Swiss coach has signed a two-year contract, with an option to extend for another season.

It was highlighted that the red-blues will begin their preparations for the upcoming season under Celestini’s guidance on June 22 at their training base in Novogorsk.

The 49-year-old Fabio Celestini previously managed the Swiss club FC Basel. He led the team from 2023 to 2025, winning the Swiss Championship (2024/2025) and the Swiss Cup (2024/2025). Celestini has also worked with clubs such as Sion, Lucerne, and Lugano, among others.
