Struggling on Grass: Draper Reflects on Hard-Fought Win Against Popirin in London

The sixth-ranked tennis player in the world, British athlete **[Jack Draper](https://www.example.com/tags/34765-jack-draper/)**, shared his thoughts on his victory over Australia’s **Alexei Popyrin** in the second round of the ATP 500 tournament in London. The match concluded with a score of 3:6, 6:2, 7:6 (7:5).

«It was a tough match. I have to give credit to Alexei; he played some amazing tennis. There were ups and downs throughout the game. I feel like I’m starting to gain confidence on grass, although to be honest, not in the first two sets. It wasn’t pretty at all.

I still believe I need some time to adjust to the grass after spending quite a while on clay. However, I’m feeling better with each match I play, which boosts my confidence,» Draper told TNT Sport.

Next in the tournament, Draper will face America’s Brandon Nakashima.
