Rebuilding from Scratch: Shishkaryovs Aspirations to Revive Novorossiysk Like Galitskiy with Krasnodar

The president of the Delo Group and former chairman of the supervisory board of FC Chornomorets, **Sergei Shishkaryov**, expressed his desire to follow in the footsteps of **Sergei Galitsky**, the owner of FC Krasnodar. Previously, he accused the management of the Novorossiysk club of attempting to arrange a fixed match in the Melbet First League.

“Thus, I am stepping away from the project. I say this with pain and regret. This is not a business decision, but a cry from the heart. I still passionately support my hometown of Novorossiysk and truly wish to see it represented in top-tier sports. Let me reiterate: the issue is not about money, but about the people who refuse to enhance their own city. I am not abandoning Novorossiysk.

We are already in talks about a new stadium—located on Ministry of Defense land. It will have a capacity of 18,000 seats. A modern arena. However, I will not return until the city changes. Until officials understand that sports (football, handball) should not be seen as their personal budget resources, but as a source of pride for all residents.

I want to thank those who fought hard. A special thanks goes to Oleg Vasilenko (the head coach of Chornomorets) and the players. You are true warriors. You fought honorably, without resorting to underhanded tactics, and you deserve far better than this shameful spectacle. That’s why I have consistently and sportily supported the team and encouraged fans to attend the matches. But the city? The city has lost. Not us.

Dear officials, when Chornomorets is fighting for survival next season, remember this post. This is your failure. Your shame. You have deceived your fellow citizens, even though you will likely try to shift the blame and responsibility onto me. I’m used to it. I will manage.

Know this: I am not disappearing. I am regrouping. I will start anew, from scratch, just as my namesake, Sergei Nikolayevich Galitsky did with Krasnodar. In seventeen years, he led the team to become the champions of the country. It is indeed daunting to look toward 2040, but I have long learned that in Russia, one must live for the long term…” — Shishkaryov wrote on his [Telegram channel](https://t.me/serezhasmotrishishka/362).

Chornomorets finished third in the First League standings with 64 points from 34 matches but was not allowed to participate in the promotion playoffs due to the stadium not meeting the requirements of the Russian Premier League. FC Krasnodar, founded by businessman Sergei Galitsky in 2008, claimed its first-ever RPL title in the 2024/2025 season.
