Foreign trade turnover in Georgia increased by 33.4% since January | Latest News
In January-April 2022, the foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to $ 5.253 billion, which is 33.4% more than in the same period of the previous year, according to preliminary data from the Georgian National Statistics Service.
Exports amounted to $1.587 billion, up 32.8%, and imports to $3.665 billion, up 33.7% from the same period in 2021.
The negative trade balance for January-April 2022 amounted to $2.078 billion, or 39.6% of the total foreign trade turnover, the report said.
