Africa will become the main source of instability in the next decade – expert | Latest News

Despite the fact that there are many potential hot spots in the world now, however, Africa is undoubtedly the most explosive place on the planet. It is the Black Continent that will become the main supplier of bloody wars and conflicts in the coming decades.

Such an opinion in the comments to the publication NEWS.ru said the director of the Institute for Political Studies, a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Sergey Markov.

This is how he reacted to the words of the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedevwhich predicted a series of energy, food and logistics crises, as well as military confrontations in different parts of the world due to the consequences of anti-Russian sanctions.

“There are many potential points of conflict: between China and Taiwan, the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran, that is, between Sunnis and Shiites. These are conflicts in the Arab world, in the post-Soviet space, the Karabakh conflict has not yet been resolved. Also conflicts related to uncontrolled migration in the EU countries due to collapsing state institutions in the Middle East and Africa. This is a gradually boiling Africa, which in fact, in the next decade, in my opinion, will be the main supplier of bloody wars and conflicts,” Markov said.

Recall that earlier Dmitry Medvedev predicted a series of energy, food and logistics crises, as well as military confrontations in different parts of the world due to the consequences of anti-Russian sanctions.

According to the politician, new military conflicts will arise in those places where the situation has stagnated and has not been peacefully resolved for many years.

He also believes that, among other things, the activation of terrorists is possible, angry that the Western authorities are only engaged in a showdown with Russia and nothing else.
