Удар по Unleash Protocol: Хакеры похитили $3,9 млн, используя уязвимость мультисиг-кошелька Translation: Unleash Protocol Under Siege: Hackers Steal $3.9 Million Using Multi-Sig Wallet Vulnerability

The DeFi initiative Unleash Protocol suffered a loss of approximately $3.9 million due to a hacking incident, as reported by analysts from PeckShield.

The hacker extracted assets, converted them, and transferred the funds to Ethereum. Subsequently, they sent 1337.1 ETH to the cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash.

The Unleash Protocol team has confirmed the breach. The stolen tokens include WIP, USDC, WETH, stIP, and vIP.

According to preliminary information, the perpetrator gained access through the administrator’s multisig wallet, enabling them to carry out an unauthorized update of the smart contract and withdraw user funds.

The developers have temporarily suspended all operations of the Unleash Protocol services. The team is collaborating with cybersecurity experts to investigate the specifics of the incident.

Project representatives highlighted that the infrastructure of Story Protocol, which supports the application, remained unaffected.

Unleash Protocol is a decentralized platform for managing intellectual property. The project provides tools for registering, licensing, and trading tokenized rights to content.

It should be noted that on December 27, the FLOW token dropped by 40% following the hacking attack that resulted in a $3.9 million loss.
