Сооснователь Meteora оказался в центре скандала с мем-токенами и мошенничеством Translation: Co-founder of Meteora at the center of scandal with meme tokens and fraud.

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against the DEX Meteora and its co-founder Benjamin Chow for fraud linked to the controversial meme tokens LIBRA and MELANIA.

The plaintiffs claim the defendants «borrowed authority» from real individuals or narratives, including the official coin of former First Lady Melania Trump and the revival token for Argentina.

«These figures and brands were used as props to legitimize what was essentially a coordinated liquidity trap,» the documents state.

At the same time, public figures should not be held accountable, as they were merely a «cover» for the fraudulent scheme orchestrated by Meteora and Kelsier Ventures under the leadership of Hayden Davis.

According to the lawsuit, Kelsier conducted marketing campaigns for the token launches. Chow was positioned «at the heart of the business» and assembled a team to execute the alleged scheme.

Victims have reported that the defendants launched and sold at least 15 tokens using a similar approach. The lawsuit mentions five of them: LIBRA, MELANIA, ENRON, TRUST, and M3M3.

In February, Chow stated in an interview that neither he nor Meteora had received any tokens or held insider information related to the Libra project. Later that month, following a public scandal, he withdrew from the project.

Recall that in May, FT journalists uncovered that a small group of traders made $99.6 million by purchasing the MELANIA meme coin before its official announcement.
