Масштабный сбой Cloudflare затруднил работу ключевых криптосервисов Translation: Major Cloudflare Outage Disrupts Key Crypto Services

On November 18, the internet infrastructure provider Cloudflare encountered significant technical issues that disrupted the functionality of numerous websites and applications.

The incident resulted in a multitude of «500 errors,» as well as failures in frontend interfaces, APIs, and Cloudflare’s management panels.

The company acknowledged the issue, which impacted many of its clients, and is currently investigating it, as stated on their project status page.

Among the major affected entities are the social network X, OpenAI’s website, the music service Spotify, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Uber, the video game League of Legends, and several others.

The disruptions also impacted the cryptocurrency sector, including the exchange Coinbase, the Layer 2 network Base, and the online brokerage Robinhood. The trading platform BitMEX announced the initiation of an investigation related to Cloudflare’s issues.

The cryptocurrency wallet Ledger faced problems with several of its services.

Analysts from the company are also monitoring failures in various blockchains. According to their reports, the issues have affected coins including EGLD, ADA, ICX, FIL, KAS, OSMO, STX, MINA, and ICP. Additionally, errors are being logged in the Toncoin network.

In light of this incident, Cloudflare Inc’s (NET) shares fell by 3.9% to $194.

It’s worth noting that a significant outage in AWS in October led to a temporary shutdown of dozens of online platforms, affecting services like Snapchat, Reddit, Hulu, gaming services, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
