Запросы на стейкинг Ethereum достигли рекордных уровней, превысив вывод средств Translation: Ethereum staking requests hit record levels, surpassing withdrawals

For the first time since July, the queue for Ethereum’s staking has surpassed the withdrawal requests. This is indicated by data from the Validator Queue service.

At the time of writing, approximately 745,619 ETH (with a waiting time of around 13 days) are pending receipt at the contract address, while 360,518 ETH (with an eight-day wait) are awaiting unlocking.

The change in trend occurred on December 27, when the figures leveled out at about 460,000 coins.

The head of DeFi at the L1 network Monad, known as Abdul, noted that a similar reversal in queues was observed in June. Following that, Ethereum’s price doubled, reaching an all-time high of $4,946 by August.

The expert anticipates that, given the current dynamics, the withdrawal queue will reset to zero by January 3. He stated that this would alleviate the selling pressure on the asset.

“In this context, the prospects for Ethereum look promising,” Abdul said.

At the time of writing, the cryptocurrency is priced at approximately $3,000. Over the past day, the asset has increased in value by 2.5% amidst a rally in precious metals and a weakened dollar.

Dylan Grabowski, the host of the Smart Economy podcast, connected the changes in the queues to aggressive purchases of coins by large treasury companies like BitMine, followed by subsequent staking.

The expert’s assumptions are supported by on-chain data. According to Lookonchain, since December 27, BitMine has staked 342,560 ETH worth about $1 billion.

A researcher using the pseudonym Ignas identified three possible reasons for the imbalance:

It’s worth noting that in September, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin explained the reasoning behind the queue for withdrawing ETH from staking.
