Запасы биткоина у долгосрочных держателей достигают рекорда, предвещая рост цен Translation: Bitcoin reserves among long-term holders reach a record, signaling price growth.

The portion of Bitcoin held by long-term holders for over seven years has reached an all-time high of 14.3 million BTC, according to data from Glassnode.

Since the beginning of the year, this figure has increased by 422,430 BTC.

This metric accounts for the assets of investors who prefer to hold Bitcoin over a long term rather than trading it, thereby reducing the liquid supply on exchanges. The steady accumulation trend among these investors (referred to as LTH) reflects a growing confidence in the future prospects of Bitcoin.

According to Fidelity, by 2025, LTHs and corporate treasuries may take out over 6 million BTC from circulation, amplifying scarcity and potentially boosting the price of digital gold.

The company notes that the share of Bitcoin held by hodlers has been steadily increasing since 2016. The volume of coins held by publicly traded companies with portfolios of at least 1,000 BTC has also been growing consistently since 2020.

«We forecast that this combined group will own more than 6 million BTC by the end of 2025 — or over 28% of the 21 million BTC that will ever exist,» the analysts emphasized.

The total reserves of Bitcoin held by corporations and within ETFs have grown by 30% since the start of the year, rising from 2.24 million BTC to the current 2.88 million BTC.

This growth reflects the ongoing concentration of digital gold supply among institutional and other large players.

Whales and “sharks” are accumulating coins at unprecedented rates—approximately 300% of the annual issuance. Meanwhile, the reserves of Bitcoin on exchanges are rapidly dwindling, with this figure reaching -150%.

The current landscape indicates an increasing interest in self-custodial (non-custodial) storage of the crypto asset and long-term investment strategies.

It’s worth mentioning that researcher Axel Adler — a junior analyst — has assessed the probability of Bitcoin reaching an all-time high in the next two weeks at 70%.
